Earthly Monuments (2020)

May 2020

If we can’t be a part of the world, how do we understand and represent the human experience? Nowadays we sit inside looking out, and in, inevitably raising existential questions that push us to look for meaning in a world that sees nature making a comeback while humanity slows down.

Symbols, ephemera, monoliths draw me in as I imagine the resolution of humankind. We are on a journey to and from chaos. We are trapped inside our homes with those closest to us: and out there lie forgotten monuments. What will survive, what will we remember? These pictures are my visual questions from recent wanderings (when they were possible).

A self-published zine printed in London by Ex Why Zed. 49 black-and-white photographs across 44 double spreads.
